I am very satisfied with the help I have received from Matthias at the Brisbane Migrane and Headache Clinic. I suffered... from constant headaches for a number of months and exhausted many avenues to try and stop the headaches. I was at the point of desperation and stumbled upon the clinic by accident. From the first appt I noticed a big improvement. I am now headache free after four weeks of treatment and couldn’t be happier. I am now in a maintenance phase and continue to be headache free and very happy. I would unreservedly recommend Matthias and the Brisbane Headache and Migrane Clinic to anyone who suffers from constant headaches and particularly if you can’t find any relief or a solution.read more

My dad has suffered from trigeminal neuralgia which they also call suicide sickness because the pain is so bad it's... like being electrocuted in the face continuously. He's been to so many different doctors and specialist but nothing could fix it.We found this place online and after the first treatment he was about 80% better. We have now had 4 and he's a totally different person. The results have been amazing.read more

The migraine clinic has been such a life changer. I went into the clinic with around 4-5 migraines per week and it took... 6 months of sessions with the amazing Matthias but my migraines occur maybe 2-3 a month instead! It has made such a big impact in my life. I had been to so many neurologists and physios and any doctor that had a slight idea about headaches to try and get this solved but nothing worked. I fell and hit the back of my neck/head about two years ago now. A month or so after I started experiencing significant... vertigo. Everyday I felt unbalanced; like I was constantly leaning to my left. I went to hospital and was told that I was dehydrated, I went to the doctor, they fought I might have vestibular neuritis. I felt like it was my neck, but I was repeatedly told that I was wrong. I had MRI scans and blood tests, nothing was helping. I had vertigo and migraine symptoms for six months.Then, my partner found the migraine clinic online and the website described what I had been going through. I brought my MRI scans with me and straight away one of the clinicians could see what was wrong. I was treated for vestibular migraine and pretty much instantly felt results. I have not had vertigo symptoms for a very long time.I would highly recommend the migraine clinic. I felt like nothing was working and no one was really listening to me. They listened and helped.read more

I suffered from episodic cluster headaches for 2 years before my wife found these guys one night as I was thrashing in... agony on our couch. 2 years of treatment later and it has been 12 months since my last cluster headache. DO NOT SUFFER THROUGH THE PAIN! Give these guys a go! It is not a miracle cure but it has certainly worked for me and I hope it will work for you too because no one deserves to suffer through any form of pain similar to what cluster headaches put you through.read more

I have been suffering from debilitating migraines for 10 years, trialing all sorts of medications, GPs, specialists and... allied therapists. I highly recommend this clinic, and in particular Ariel to anyone experiencing headaches/migraines. I had been... experiencing chronic headaches/migraines, had seen several specialists and physios with no results until coming to this clinic. Ariel is absolutely fantastic. She is patient, considerate, punctual, warm and friendly. She always puts your health first; never pressuring more treatments than required. She is extremely helpful and always promptly responds to emails. Ariel always made each treatment enjoyable, with her tv series/movies recommendations, suggestions for fun things to do in brissy etc, without ever getting distracted or compromising the effectiveness of the treatment. Ariel has single handedly significantly reduced my headaches and I am beyond grateful for her service.read more

Could not highly recommend David's treatment and care at BHMC more!The reason I seeked out more specialised treatment... was due to suffering with various headache issues that started to significantly impact on my daily life. Medication, self-care, GP advice, home remedies. Nothing was working well enough to keep them at bay.However following the initial consult with David I was put at ease and finally had a diagnosis of what I had been dealing with, tension type headaches accompanied by a 'brain fog feeling behind the forehead. David was able to clearly explain the reasons why I was having these issues, the treatment plan, appointment schedule and long term outlook following treatment.On top of this, David was able to adjust this treatment plan with the fact I was living in Central Qld and not being able to attend appointments in Brisbane regularly.I've only been going to BHMC since October 2021, however I've already noticed a significant change in the level, amount and severity of my headaches. I finally don't live life knowing I'll have to get through any occasion with the possibility of managing a headache, thanks to David.read more

My daughter has been seeing Ariel for the last 6 months, her migraines have decreased significantly, from at least 15 a... month to sometimes 2 a month, when she does get a headache now the duration of the headache is not as long. I highly recommend Ariel, she is friendly and kind, and very quick at getting back to us if needed. All the staff at the migraine clinic are always friendly and willing to help. I was diagnosed with cluster headaches at the age of 60. As one who never has been prone to many headaches, the... resultant intense pain of clusters was unimaginable. GP's and pharmacies can offer no pain relief for clusters. Pure oxygen provides some comfort. My initial visit to David Appleby at BHMC Spring Hill provided some hope. After a couple of sessions, I experienced Immediate results. David's advice regarding posture and sleep habits combined with his hands on treatment worked wonders for me. My headache problem has been lasting for many years and I suffer from it more frequently from the last 18 months. The... quality of my life before treatment was affected tremendously. I simply couldn't enjoy lots of activities when headache attacks occur.I started my headache treatment from the last few weeks and it has been very effective. It is very obvious to how I feel around my neck before and after the treatment. I haven't had any headache episode since.I highly recommend this clinic and the physician named Douglas. He is courteous, gentle, very caring and most amazingly very knowledgeable and skillful. He was able to diagnose my headache issue and provide detailed explainations about my treatment plan and future preventative guidance.I wish I had found this clinic earlier and for anyone who is suffering from headaches you should definitely give it a go.Overall it's a nice and clean clinic, easy public transport and parking.
